Side Dish: 17th Century Lemonsweet

Ingredients
6 lemons
2 oranges
2 and 1/4 cups confectioner's sugar
2 and 1/2 cups sparkling water
Directions
Zest half a lemon and half an orange
juice lemons and oranges into large pitcher
add sugar and zest
stir vigorously
strain out zest citrus bits
add water and serve
keep refridgerated
