Dessert: Apple Brown Betty

Ingredients
3 TBSP unsalted butter, thinly sliced (plus more for pan)
2 medium sized apples
5 ounces gingersnap cookies
2 TBSP granulated sugar
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
Directions
Preheat oven to 350
grease small baking dishes
peel, core, and thinly slice the apples
crush the gingersnap cookies until you have 1 cup of crumbs
sprinkle 1/3 cup of crumbs in the bottom of dish and top with 1/2 the apples
sprinkle 1 TBSP of sugar on top
Repeat crumbs, apples, and sugar
Pour the orange juice evenly on top
top the mixture with the remaining 1/3 cup of crumbs and the sliced butter
bake for 40 minutes until bubbling around the edges and nicely browned on top
sever warm with ice cream
