Meal: Garlic Scallops and Shrimp

Ingredients

6 large sea scallops

6 large shrimp, peeled and deveined

flour for dusting

2 tbsp olive oil

1 garlic clove, finely chopped

1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped

3 tbsp lemon juice

salt

pepper

Directions

1. Rinse scallops under cold water; drain and pat dry.

2. Cut each scallop in half crosswise.

3. Season scallops and shrimp with salt and pepper; dust lightly with flour.

4. Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat; add scallops and shrimp.

5. Reduce heat slightly; cook 2 minutes.

6. Turn scallops and shrimp; add basil and garlic, shaking pan to distribute evenly

7. Cook for 2 minutes or until scallops are just golden and firm to the touch.

8. Sprinkle with lemon juice; toss to blend.
