Meal: Oriental Seafood

Ingredients

2 cups chicken broth

1 tbsp soy sauce

1/2 tsp ground ginger

1/4 tsp garlic powder

3 oz coil vermicelli, dry

1 onion, cut into wdges

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 can (8 oz) sliced water chestnuts, drained

1/2 cup sliced carrots

1 cup broccoli pieces

1 tbsp cornstarch

1/4 cup water

1 lb shelled and deveined shrimp

Directions

1. Add broth, soy sauce, ginger, garlic pwder, noodles, onion, pepper, water chestnuts, carrots, and broccoli to a large, deep skillet; bring to boil.

2. Reduce heat to low, cover; simmer 8-10 minutes until vegetables nearly done.

3. Mix cornstarch with water until smooth; add to skillet and mix in.

4. Bring skillet to a slow boil and stir until thickened.

5. Reduce heat and add shrimp; simmer until shrimp is done.
