Slow Cooker: Cranberry Chicken

Ingredients

1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries

3/4 cup chopped onion

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp ground ginger

4 chicken breasts

1 cup orange juice

1 tsp rated orange peel

3 tbsp butter, melted

3 tbsp flour

3 tbsp brown sugar

hot cooked noodles (farfalle works well)

Directions

1. In slow cooker, combine cranberries, onion, salt, cinnamon, and ginger; top with chicken.

2. Cover; cook on low 5-6 hours.

3. Remove chicken; set aside and keep warm.

4. Combine butter and flour until smooth; add to slow cooker.

5. Cook on high until thickened, about 20 minutes.

6. Stir in chicken and sugar; heat through.

7. Serve over noodles.
